January - Divorce month?

There are many headlines that appear at this time of year and there are numerous blogs asking the question whether January is the month that the number of divorce cases increases dramatically.

Whether or not that is the case, deciding to separate is often a confusing and traumatic time. Uncertainty about who is going to pay the mortgage, can we share care of the children and what is going to happen to our home are some of the numerous questions that separating couples need answered.
