Marisa joined Wright & Crawford solicitors in 2009 and became an associate solicitor in November 2010. Marisa deals in all aspects of family law and civil litigation. Due to her ability in the area of international child abduction, she receives direct referrals from the Scottish Executive in relation to these cases.

Marisa is also appointed financial guardian in the referrals received from the local authority and deals generally with all aspects of the Adults with Incapacity legislation including conducting any court hearings that are necessary.

Marisa is a member of the Family Law Association. Her skills in this field are such that her contribution to family law legislation is required by the Law Society of Scotland's Family Law Sub-Commitee where she has been invited to become a member. Through the committee she has been asked to give her views on shaping family law legislation. Marisa is also an author of numerous articles for the Scottish Child Law Centre.
