Civil litigation, employment law and guardianships

Mark is the head of the civil and commercial litigation department having joined Wright & Crawford as a partner in 2004. Mark specialises in both commercial and general litigation which can range from complex contractual or business disputes, debt recovery case, property litigation and accident claims. Mark has extensive advocacy experience in courts throughout Scotland including the Supreme Civil Court and in employment tribunals.

Mark also specialises in guardianship cases and is regularly appointed by sheriffs to produce independent safeguarder or curator reports. Mark headed up a successful tendor application to be on a limited panel of solicitors who are appointed by a local authority to be financial guardians.

Mark assists both individuals and companies in whatever form of dispute that requires to be resolved and produces written opinions on legal problems to clients and to other solicitors. Mark also serves from time to time as a company secretary to corporate clients.

Mark is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow. Mark is also a Senior Tutor in Advanced Civil Law in the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Glasgow University.
